NAME:  NEGESA PRECIOUS

RESIDANCE:  BUGEMBE JINJA DISTRICT

At the time Precious was born, her mother was a house wife. However, her father was financially stable and could provide all needs of the family. Unfortunately, Precious’ father lost his job and has never been able to find another job to fully support his family despite his effort to get one. The family moved from one big house to one room and sold most of their home assets so they could provide for the children and be able to pay rent for the one room they had moved into. Precious’ mother tried to sell some snacks which did not bring any income to the home. Precious moved from one school to another because her parents could not sustain her in school. “ …. I had never thought we could get to this point of lack. I knew my husband to be a hardworking man with very helpful and well-connected friends but none of them came through for us” Precious’ mother said. Precious had physical and health challenges in her early childhood. She had respiratory problems and a club foot. “God has taken care of Precious. He healed her” said Precious’ mother.  In a situation where there was no money for food, it was even harder to find money for treatment. Precious’ mother lifted her faith and prayed that Precious would get healed and indeed she was miraculously healed. No more respiratory challenges and the club foot normalized overnight. She got a job with Next Generation Ministries as a house keeper, a job she never ever thought she would do. As a house keeper, she also fasted and prayed to God that Precious should study in a good school and have her school fees catered for as well.  On the third day of her prayer and fasting, her boss informed her that she would pay school fees for Precious and her sister. Precious’ mother further asked the Lord that Precious be taken to a good boarding school. Precious is now 13 years old and is in primary 7, sponsored by Renew Church and is studying at Fountain of Hope Junior School Bukeeka in the boarding section.
